Issue 1
Out of all of the photos I have taken that are included in the paper I think that I am the most proud of this one solely because it made me feel special that other people saw something that I never did in this specific photo. This was my first issue and I had only shot one field hockey game. I wasn't very proud of the photos I took and I didn't even want to share them in the first place. Some people didn't feel the same though. They really enjoyed the photos, they insisted on the fact that they were great even though I clearly disagreed. When they told me my picture would be on the cover I thought they meant the cover of the sports section, I had no idea they meant the cover of the whole entire paper. This made me very happy and proud.
Issue 4
These photos actually had no intention of being in the paper, I was at the meet to support and I took my camera out and just shot them to see if I could get a couple good shots to post on Norsemen Tide. But they turned out so well we ended up using them for the sports story.
Issue 2
This story was originally supposed to cover a completely different game for a completely different reason, however there was a big mix up and after the story was written we didn't have photos to use for the photo story 2 days before the story was due. After I heard that I volunteered to do senior night so we could come up with a last minute story.
Additional Sports
I have an immense love for sports and I always have, so having the ability to be able to capture almost every sport we offer here at north is incredible. The biggest part is being as versatile as I can. No two sports are the same to shoot, every sport has a different pace that makes it so different to shoot. My goal is full spectrum of every sport we have to offer. But not only capture it, to fully show it in a beautiful and artistic and creative way so I can set myself apart from others in my field.
