In addition to my work in journalism. I have also been apart of the Grosse Pointe Public School TV production program for as long as I can remember, before north I was a member of broadcast journalism in middle school so it was a no brainer for high school. Currently I am the longest enrolled student in the program currently at North in the Norsemen News (TV Prod-VIII) taking it all 4 years of high school.
Just like my photography I like to be as well rounded as possible. Ive learned a couple things throughout my 4 years of taking the class under Mr. Stackpoole, so I make a point to use those skills and to teach others who are maybe newer to the class. I mostly take part in the behind the scenes part of TV which is doing jobs such as Graphics, Directing, Producing , Audio and working the Camera which is known as "Crew". However I also like to be infront of the camera as well, practicing my talenting skills. This class is a very important part of my life and time at North, it has taught me so much in such a short amount of time.
Leading the crew as director

There are many jobs on crew but the most important job behind the camera is the director. You not only have to be in charge of everyone else's jobs and stay on top of things but also control the whole entire broadcast. If anything gets messed up it's on you. Some people get scared in that pressure but personally its my favorite. It takes great patience and precision to be able to do this job and thats why it's very special.
In this class as well we've had multiple field trip opportunities from the MAB and MHSAA and chances to speak to professionals in the field with speed networking. It teaches us great skills and perspective, not only in broadcast journalism but also with writing.
